I'm rachel. I currently live in Sheffield with my beautiful, intelligent, amazing and gorgeous girlfriend. I'm oringinal from a village in Leicestershire near Ashby-De-La-Zouch. I came to Sheffield to study geography (BA) 5 years ago. i graduated 2 years ago. Loved uni life especially the first year. it was a lot of hard work an managed to get the 2.1 that i wanted. Worked as a waitress in Pizza express in order to save money to go traveling. Went on 15th June 2008 with my girlfriend. First stop LA, Fiji, Aukland - overland - christchurch, Melbourne - overland - Sydney, Perth, Singapour - overland - Bankok, UK. CANNOT WAIT.

Because of saving not been up to much lately but i know this will all change. I believe i am a hard working, honest and extremly clumsy individual. I love hanging out with friends, going to the cinema and adventure lol. If you havent guessed i am a lesbian and my girlfriend and i have been going out for around 3 years now. Family means a lot to me and so do my close friends. In the future i would love to use my degree and travel with a job that allows me loads of opportunities and is different every day. please forward me this job if you see it in the next year lol.

The original purpose of this journal was to keep my family and friends informed of what i was up to whilst travelling and what i plan to be up to.

Now this journal is about being young, unemployed in Britain today. Its one way for me to unload all the angst I have been feeling, but also to show other people how even with loadsa potential that in the UK today it is so difficult to find that 'dream' job. It may give others hope, it might help other people applying right now or it might just help me. Well we will see
